March 09, 2014

DUBAI, UAE

Drakken is pleased to announce that it is completing its fully integrated engineering, procurement, construction management, and commissioning contracts for Pan Ocean in Nigeria.  The contracts, currently underway, are destined for installation some 200km north of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

The contract includes a green field 20,000 bpd oil production facility, an inlet gas receiving facility, a large scale LPG storage facility and capability for truck and pipeline export.  The Drakken team, based in Dubai UAE, is controlling aspects of engineering, site construction in Iraq, and procurement and expediting activities around the globe.

“This contract has again demonstrated our ability to integrate complex projects within a fast track early production framework, while leveraging our international supply chain management and accelerated design experience,” said Ryan Arsenault, Director for Drakken.  Project Manager Warren Boyle continued “Our clients require acceleration of the key engineering components for these projects in order to meet the aggressive schedule targets in Africa and throughout the region, and we are excited to have showcased our capabilities.”

In addition to engineering and construction management, Drakken' scope of supply included the facility automation system, fire and gas detection equipment, process instrumentation, and electrical power distribution equipment.  Drakken’s engineering teams throughout the world coordinated their efforts on simultaneous engineering works on all three facilities in parallel, greatly reducing the design cycle, allowing the clients project teams to accelerate procurement and construction activities.

Mr. Boyle, a professional engineer (APEGA) as well as certified PMP project manager, has successfully executed major projects throughout North America, Africa, Yemen, Turkmenistan and Mexico.
